From the freshly-spun pink fairy floss on a stick, which coated my fingers and made my lips stick together, to the disgusting (but secretly delicious) dagwood dog smothered in tomato sauce, I ate my way around the show.
I did stop to cuddle some very cute baby goats and ducklings, and to marvel at the size of some jersey cows, whilst sniffing nostalgically at the smell of farm animals and hay.
There was also an obligatory ride on the ferris wheel and trip to the show bag pavilion, but most impressive were the regional produce displays which features scenes created entirely out of fruit and vegetables, pulses and grains - the colours and textures were beautiful.photos taken by me, apart from fairy floss image - I was too busy eating!
